Welcome to Art

Hello! I'm Mrs. Young. 

This is my website for all things ART at the ALC and a little bit of my own.  I'm an art educator with 25 years experience and a practicing artist. I have two amazingly talented, smart, beautiful daughters, four dogs, and two cats. I have an Associate's Degree in Art from ICC, a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Art Education from "The W", and a Master's of Art from Northwestern State University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I have won several awards for my artwork and was named the Mississippi High School Art Educator of the Year in 2012 and Monroe County School District Teacher of the Year for 2020-2021.
